1.1 Introduction
Radiant Group of Institute, Jabalpur is being established by the society namely R PRAKESH SHIKSHA SAMITEE which is founded on 14/04/2006. The members of the society are having quiet a lot experience in Technical Education as well School Education. At present there are Eight more Engineering And Engineering And Management institutes and one University Institute of Engineering And Management of Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalya and RGPV Bhopal and Jabalpur In spite there are no exclusive Engineering And Management education Institute in the town. The Colleges in Jabalpur district are catering the need of very large area of Madhya Pradesh in the fields of Engineering And Management Education. Many students are taking education and training in these fields in many unrecognized institutions which have come up in large numbers in Jabalpur and other places during the past ten years. Many of these institutes are not recognized by AICTE. Thus many students are investing huge amount of money to acquire Degree/Diploma/Certificates from these institutes which do not have any recognition and value in the market and thus it is creating depression amongst the young generation.
1.2 Background of the Consultants
Radiant Institute of Engineering And Engineering And Management has not engaged any professional Consultant for the preparation of the DETAILED PROJECT REPORT.
However we have appointed consultant Shri S.K.Nema B.E.(Hons), M.E.(structural Engg.),& Neeraj ji for our on going Construction, works and Drawing & Design Work. Shri S.K.Nema is well-known Consultant, Architect and valuer of Jabalpurcity.
1.3 Engineering and Management Education and Industrial Scenario
An upbeat trend is observed globally for managerial manpower. As per an estimate, need of Engineering and Management graduates, will increase several fold in coming few years. The mission of Government of Madhya Pradesh is to expand opportunities and develop infrastructure for qualitative and market focused Engineering and Management education and training to the youth of the state and other adjoining state also. Strategic, focused and intensive efforts in the last few years have dramatically strengthened our education system in terms of capacity, quality, delivery and reach. Special initiatives ensure technical & Engineering And Management education and technology increasingly reaches rural too. Visionary initiatives taken in recent years by the department of Technical Education, and Training, Government of Madhya Pradesh, have ensured that human resources of Madhya Pradesh, 5820 them every year are armed with relevant quality Engineering And Management skills and knowledge necessary for today’s requirement in Govt. departments business and industry.
Jabalpur city is located at the centre of India and is having good connectivity by Rail, Road & Air with different parts of India. Jabalpur had always been a prime educational centre covering all fields. The first Engineering College of the state was started at Jabalpur in the year 1947& the first Engineering And Engineering And Management institute in 1992 (UIM of R.D. University, Jabalpur Jabalpur is catering the educational needs of the students of the many adjoining towns (As shown in Annexure 1). The students from commissionary of Jabalpur, which includes Katni, Narsinghpur, Chindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Dindori and Balaghat, are coming to Jabalpur to acquire Engineering And Management education and other higher education. The total population of these areas is around 115 lacs. Beside Jabalpur region the students from other nearby areas such as Satna, Panna, Rewa, Shahdol, and Damoh also prefer in taking admission in Jabalpur. In British regime Jabalpur was one of the biggest education centre of India.
Jabalpur region is having a number of industries related to defense services and with the liberal policy of the Government many more industries are likely to come up in and around Jabalpur. It can be foreseen that the prospects of the jobs for the passing out young engineers in future will be plenty especially in, Chutka Atomic Power Station, Hydro Power Station on Narbada Valley, IT Industry, Garment Industry, Cement Industry, Stone Industry etc. There are lots of prospects for young engineers to have their own industry, as this region is rich in minerals and other recourses as required for setting up Food Processing Industry etc. Due to introduction of Computers in all fields, the industries and the businessmen have become computer oriented. Government of India is also showing interest for the development of IT-Information Technology Centre, Software companies and in many other related fields. The Governmental of Madhya Pradesh has recently announced to setup an IT Park, Software Park and Stone Parks in Jabalpur. More over Madhya Pradesh is having lot of industries related to minerals available and there is further scope to set up industries for the use of minerals such as Coal, Diamond, Manganese, Bauxite, Lime Stone, Iron Ore, Flag Stone, Granite Stone Gold, Copper, Uranium etc.
The number of Engineering and Engineering and Management institutes seems to be insufficient to fulfill the need of the students of the Jabalpur and nearby region. To provide such facilities to the students of this region it is necessary as a first step to increase the number of seats and institutes offering such duly recognized professional degree courses. This would fulfill the vision and requirement of Government of Madhya Pradesh as well of Govt. of India & of Private Sector including multi national company to facilitate access for its citizen to employment opportunities in a market economy through high quality Engineering And Management education and vocational training.
